The Space Shuttle Monitor

Due to the overwhelming *success* of the Space Shuttle Monitor, (and other similar web pages scattered throughout the world).... the operation of the Space Shuttle Monitor's Web page access is being reduced.... dramatically.

Per a piece of electonic mail from the Director of Shuttle Web Operations, I'm suspending the content of the images to just links to the various NASA pages with the images you'd normally find here at the Space Shuttle Monitor.

Dear Webmaster,

For this mission the Shuttle Web has been enhanced
to provide our visitors with better access and faster
downloads. However, in spite of our best efforts many
people are still experiencing timeouts. We have
determined that this problem is due in part to the many
enthusiastic spacewatchers out there who are creating
inline links to our images. This is causing demands
that exceed our server's capacity. Therefore, we are
asking everyone who is using these inline links to remove
them. We appreciate your efforts to help us spread the news,
but ask that you remember that these links are actually
making it harder for your fellow websurfers to get the
shuttle information they seek.

Best wishes,
Terry McDonald
