Today, Sept.6 ,2007: our National Debt has exceeded 9 trillion dollars.
I originally expected this to happen today (09/06/07), based upon the rate of
$1 million/minute of interest accrued as reported by our Federal Bureau of the
Public Debt. I subsequently amended this date to Saturday, 09/08/07 due to
daily fluctuations in the rate, but a recent rate increase of $20 million/day
restored my former estimate, a/o 11:30am EST.
