Martin's "Early Days in the Pipe Industry Here" originally published in The Gadsden Times (16 Jan. 1950) in Source Unknown listed two of Arbin E.'s grandsons and double cousins, Martin McGlathery, son of Andrew Jackson Coleman and Finnis McCluney, son of Nancy A. (McGlathery) McCluney as among those who were employed with Hoffman & Billings Cast Iron Pipe Plant (p. 29). W. A. Lewis provided me with this source. Cemetery: Irene Williams's "Descendants and Relatives" in These are Mine (1964) noted that a private cemetery in East Gadsden was used by the related families of Bryan, Cowen, McCluney, McGlathery, and Williams; that it was located on the old Williams - Paden farm land, and that the Bryans donated it for that use (p. 33). McGlathery (Dwelling 151, Family 153), both sons of Giles Burdette McGlathery (p. 286 printed, p. 85 printed). Roy Michael McGlathery, a descendant of the Rev. James B. McGlathery and Daniel Watson and Julia (Cobb) McGlathery, sent me copies of the Cobb family bible. On a page of family entries I found "Kate Cobb & Will McGlathery married May 20, 1876*" and directly below that was listed "Julia Cobb & D. W. McGlathery married on 13 Jan. 1876*" On another page, of deaths, was written "Kate Bailey died on 26 Dec. 1898." Obituary: "Obituaries: Mr. [Samuel M.] McGlathery," The Gadsden [AL] Times (21 October 1984), p. A6. Edna died in Brandon, Rankin County, Mississippi. William Thomas II and Edna buried "side by side" at Elmwood Cemetery, Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama.
