McGlathery, partner in Mercer & McGlathery, provided information about his parents birthplace: Samuel E. in Lincoln Co., TN in 10 Feb. 1818 and Nancy Surratt in Alabama on 10 June 1821; his early education, and buisness experience including in telegraphy and in uncles store in Booneville, MS. It listed his marriage in 1872 and children: 3 sons (2 desceased) and 3 daughters in 1887 when published. The biography of Franklin's partner and likely brother-in-law, Thomas E.
