I had a crazy physics teacher back in high school who came to school one day with what he called a "Polish Cannon" (which he later renamed the Swedish Cannon, so as not to belittle any of his relatives). It was one of the greatest demos to ever hit the walls of Dundee-Crown High School. For months after he demoed his lighter-fluid burning mass of tennis ball canisters and duct tape, I tried to out-do his record; propelling a tennis ball 88 miles an hour. I finally beat his record a year later with this electronically ignited, hand held tennis ball cannon. The reason for naming it the Goose Gun is a long story that may someday find its way into a fine short story, but for now, will remain untold. The Goose Gun is powered by a map gas cylinder and a 6 volt rechargeable battery.
