North of Loda, a Railroad Prairie
This railroad prairie has a great deal of diversity. In addition to the dry prairie areas where the liatris is found, there are wet pockets full of cord grass, winged loostrife and bir marigolds (a.k.a. bidens). I was interested in the redish blemish on the petal of this flower (seen at top and center), and wondered what might have caused it.
