We were in this area on our fifth through seventh nights. Coming down Rayado Creek from the north on our fifth day, we passed through Phillips Junction. We went up Buck Creek, then took the trail past Bear Canyon Camp to Apache Springs Camp. After two nights in Apache Springs, we followed Agua Fria Creek to Fish Camp on our seventh day, taking a side trip up Rayado Canyon back to Phillips Junction for provisions. On our eighth day we continued on down Rayado Canyon.
