In the event of the need to close school due to the weather, please use the following information:
· In the morning, the news media will be informed by 6:00 a.m. Please do not call the school.
The radio and television stations will have the most current information regarding closings.
· Radio Stations – WDWS, WLRW, WIXY
· Television Stations – WICD, WAND, WCIA
· A decision to close early due to developing weather conditions will be made by 11:00 a.m.; the middle school will be dismissed at 1:45 p.m.
· In the event that you are not home, you are strongly urged to have an emergency plan for your child.
If you try to call the school on an emergency weather day, you will probably find that all lines are busy and it will be very difficult to get a message to your child.
Please make an emergency plan with your child in advance of a severe weather day.
