Troop 107 Committee Meeting Minutes March 31, 2005 Present: Mark Brandyberry, Carolyn Finney, Dan Finney, Jeff Fryer, Elisabeth Jenicek Mark Joseph, Carolyn Knox Sheila Krein, James Marshall, DD McInerney, Ann Reid, Dawn Spaulding, and John Taylor. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 by Mark Brandyberry. The agenda was distributed and approved. Minutes from the February 24 meeting were distributed and approved. Committee Reports Outdoor Activities – DD McInerney The River to River campout will be April 8-10. We need to decide who will be on the trail, and who will be back at the base camp. The Spring Camporee will be in May. Mark said that 3 boys won prizes in the candy drawing. John Taylor had sent out an email asking if people would prefer going to Camp Drake, or Camp Ransburg in Indiana. Most would prefer Camp Drake since the dates are better. So it looks like we will go to Camp Drake June 19-25. Treasurer – Rebecca Dressler Rebecca stepped in briefly to hand out the scout statements. Fundraising – Elisabeth Jenicek Mark needs the money and candy today or tomorrow night at the latest. Quartermaster – Jeff Fryer Jeff is searching for a new tent. Champaign Surplus is having Scout Night the next two weekends. Service Projects – John Taylor Jefferson Middle School is having a courtyard cleanup on April 16. The Elks Club in Savoy needs an honor guard for its opening ceremony. There will be supper afterwards, and the winners of an essay contest will be announced. Bill Dick has a signup sheet, and the boys are signing up. Old Business Bring your cans on the nights of the parent meetings. Jim Marshall said they must be smashed. New Business Elisabeth Jenicek mentioned that April 16 is Scout Night at U of I Baseball. Wear a scout shirt to get in free. Roy Campbell mentioned that there still is a venture crew.
