History of Organization

Teen Tech was begun as a partnership between Prairie Net, Greater St. Mark COGIC and Computer Village. Teen Tech continues to be a unique program in the area.

Summary of Organization’s Vision, Mission, and Goals

Teen Tech has two main goals: to teach 14-18 year old students computer hardware skills and to introduce them to principles of business. Considering the ever growing number of 451 computer labs in the region it is important that there are individuals skilled in hardware repair in the area. Teen Tech attempts to provide the skilled “workforce” necessary to keep the labs up and running. Ideally, the students will gain technology skills that can be transferred into future careers.

Summary of Organization’s Vision, Mission, and Goals

The pastor’s vision includes providing a youth center that is easily accessible to children from the train stop.

The vision also includes adding onto the existing location as needed and expanding the youth center to include a large building across the highway.

One goal of the youth center is to provide a place where students can learn how to build and/or recondition computers that they can, in turn, sell on their own to make money.

The youth center’s Teen Tech Team meets regularly to learn video editing skills to create videos to be used in community journalism and communication.
