Hi Donna,
It’s Jennifer again from U of I, I hope you are doing well and having a wonderful week. I had a few more questions, one
question we are suppose to ask is, will you (the church) be providing lunch for us on Saturday? If not we should be okay
but we are suppose to ask. Next, I remembered what the 12th computer was for the Windows Updates it was Pastor Myron
Taylor because he had “the need for speed” there should be away to update his computer without purchasing another
update. And just so you know we should be arriving around 12:30- 1:00 this Friday to start setup and we will stay until 5 or
so and 8:45-5:00 on Saturday. One last thing is do you have install software for the printers in the large lab? Just wondering if not we should be able to find something online, because the new computers will have to be hooked up to the printers. Okay that’s all for now if anything changes I will let you know. Thanks for all your help thus far and see you this Friday, Jennifer

Response

Of course we will serve you lunch on Saturday. We had already planned on doing that. Anything else just let me know.

**I had not heard from her yet, but then found out our group might have to make cables so I emailed her again from another email address. This email included an attachment of a picture of the lab’s hub.

Hi there, it’s Jennifer from the University of Illinois, I was wondering if you had found out if you could get the license for Windows XP, from the tax people? Or if they had any more licenses available otherwise we will have to use Window’s 98 on the computers again. Also I was wondering if you could do me a favor, could you count how many ports are located on the hubs in the computer labs. I have attached a picture of what the hubs look like. The ports are just the holes where the wires go in. It looks like we might have to make you new cables If you have any questions let me know and if you get this email let me know if it is better to call or email. Have good day! Jennifer

Attachment: hub 1.jpg (63k bytes) Open

Response

Hi Jennifer , this is Donna from New Bethel. I think we still have the disc for Windows XP . Sonja Worth, who was over our program here will let me know tomorrow if she still has the disc. Also, there are7 ports on the hub in the conference room and 8 in the conference room. Four are open in the conference room and three are open in the lab. Thank You and let me know if I can be of any assistance.

Response

Thank you so much! I will let you know if we have anymore questions. See you soon. Jennifer

**There was still the issue of Windows XP and me and Donna played phone tag for about two hours thatTuesday and on that Wednesday we had Windows XP updates!

Hello Donna,

It’s Jennifer, from the U of I group that came on Sat. We are working on getting the computers ready for you, but the group and I had a couple more questions concerning software. Is it okay if we look into spyware and anti-virus software? And were also wondering, for the computers in the larger space if we could find a timed log off program for the computers, would you be interested? Its not a guarantee, but we thought it would be a good idea for the lab, that way after a certain time on the computer it then kicks you off, it would probably come in handy during high use times during the summer.

**I did not hear anything for a while so I attempted to contact by phone and asked her the questions I asked via email.

We as a group then wanted to know if the church was still interested in obtaining licenses for Windows XP so I emailed her at a different email address.
