History

• First lab installed by ESLARP in 2000; second lab in 2003. This lab will be an upgrade of the 2003 lab.
• Ran afterschool and summer programs (attendance between 80-100). Lost
  funding in 2005; working towards restarting programming.
• They want to run seminars, teaching basic computing and keyboarding skills for all ages. They hope that these classes will bring community members into the church. Additionally, they want this program to foster community involvement. They would like to train more community members as computer literacy tutors.
• The lab will have open hours on evenings and weekends for community members. Hours are staffed entirely by volunteers.
• Mt. Calavary currently has Internet access through 128k ISDN.
• Our lab will be linked to the second computer lab. Using Alcohol software, we will also set up a computer that will share educational software through virtual drives.
