Organization’s Priorities for Implementation of Technology
The computer lab will be just the first part of their expansion, and they want it to be very basic so everyone can learn how computers will work. It will serve all ages, from toddlers in day care to adults in evening classes. In particular they want children to be able to learn how to use the Internet. They will be able to upgrade the computer lab as they see the need and hopefully eventually expand the space and number of computers.
Resources Available to Implement Technology at the Organization
They have internet access provided by Earthlink, currently dialup but will be upgraded to high speed. They also have a good space for a lab which is located near the internet hookup– the space has central air conditioning and they will install dark blinds to keep it cooler. They also have several people lined up to help maintain the computer lab and equipment, teach classes and supervise the lab after it is built.
Resources Organization Can Provide for Technology Implementation

They will also need to obtain 6 sturdy tables which are apx. 5×3 feet, and a desk at the front for a teacher. They are also going to buy a printer which GSLIS students will install.
Resources GSLIS Will Need to Provide
12 refurbished computers with Windows 98 and 12 monitors. A variety of software that will be appropriate for teaching children-adults computer skills. A reccomendation of a printer to buy.
