Hey this is Bessie from Living Word. Concerning the Internet we will have ATT&T. if you have questions please let me know. They will be sending the equipment to me this week. So we will have the filters and everything we need when you arrive in December.

Hiya Bessie!
That’s great!! Thanks so much for taking care of that.
Looking forward to seeing you all in Dec.
Keran and I are planning on coming down to East St. Louis next Saturday (the 14th of November) for the day. We are hoping to meet with you if we can. We will leave Champaign at 7 a.m., so we could get together with you between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Let us know if there is a time that work best for you–we’re looking forward to seeing you!
Also, I had sent you a bunch of questions a few weeks ago and am wondering if you have had a chance to look at them. Please don’t worry about answering all of them–just whatever you can come up with. The one question that we really need an answer to is what phone company the church uses. I may try to call the church office today to find out, but please let us know if you know.
Below are the other questions we asked.
1. Do you think that the person who will be supervising in the computer lab is going to be working on a computer or just sitting in a chair or at a desk?
2. Is it at all possible for you to send us a few digital pictures of the computer room? Or even just a cell phone photo?
3. Are the tables/desks along the walls 30 inches deep (front to back)?
4. Is there a table against the wall opposite the door? If yes, how deep is it?
5. Could you tell us where the tables’/desks’ supporting legs are? (for instance, “On the side walls, the legs are spaced–measured from the door wall–24 inches, 48 inches, and 72 inches. On the back wall, the legs are 40 inches from the left side wall and 80 inches from the left side wall.” Something like that.) This will help us determine where we will put computer towers etc. A photograph will help us with this, too.
6. Do you have air conditioning in the room where the lab will be?
7. Do you have access to a fan that we could use in the lab to disperse the heat?
8. What is your church’s telephone service (SW Bell, AT&T, etc)?
I appreciate your willingness to help us answer these!!
Looking forward to seeing you!

Questions #1
The Supervisor will also be working on a computer. A designated computer just for supervisors.
#2 I will try to get some pictures on Sunday and email them to you.
#3 I will have to ask Deacon Tony this question and questions #5
#4 No table, as of today.
#6 the church has central air, so you would not need a fan.
We can meet you at the Church around 10:30 on the 14th if that is OK.

Bessie:
I forgot to say that 10:30 next Saturday sounds good to us!
Hi! I hope all is well with you. It’s beginning to feel like fall up here–wet and cool. I hope the leaves are as beautiful for you as they are for us.
I have a few questions to ask about the Living Word Learning Center. For ease of typing, I’ll just list them below:

Some of us, most likely Keren and I, plan on coming down to East St. Louis on the 14th of November for the day. We will leave Champaign at 7 a.m., so we could get together with you between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Let us know if there is a time that work best for you.

I received your email and look like everything is in order. We are almost finished with the room I will let you know when it is completed. Could someone come down after the room is finished to check it before you bring the computer down. We want to make sure everything is in order.
Please let me know.
thanks

Thanks for your note! It is possible that I will be coming down your way in a couple of weeks. I will check with Karen and Allison and their schedules, too, and get back to you soon.
Best wishes!
Hi Bessie!!
You have reached me and I would be happy to send you the same thing I sent Alicia. I’m at work at the moment, so I’ll send it to you when I am at home.
I hope you are well!

Bessie and Alicia:
Hi!! I just wanted to follow up on our meeting from the Saturday. First of all, thank you so much for all the preparation you did before we came. I really appreciate all that work! I also appreciate your willingness to meet with us and your flexibility and patience.
We are currently looking into the matter of internet providers and hope to get back to you shortly about some options. In the meantime, I promised to send the reminder below via e-mail to Deacon Tony about the infrastructure things he was going to work on for us before we come down to install computers. He has agreed to install:
1) 2 20-amp circuits (one for each wall-left and right-which are currently on different circuits).
2) Double-gang boxes along both the left and right walls spread out at 3 feet off the wall with the door, 9 feet off the wall, and 15 feet off the wall.
3) 2 double-gang boxes on the back wall.
4) Cat 5 cable run between the office and The Learning Center.
5) Non-plastic tables, at least 30 inches deep along left and right walls.
6) J-hooks below and at the rear of tables every one foot along left and right walls (to hold and protect cables).
Best wishes to you both!!
