Implementation Plan

Planning and Allocating Tasks Among Team Members

[Lincoln's Challenge Log]

Implementation plan was based on a fluid and cooperative team approach, with very limited specialization of individuals or subgroups in particular tasks or skill groups.  This decision was based on the following factors:

  • Telescoped time frame for project completion/Large number of workstations: In order for the project to go forward, many of the tasks needed to be handled in a matter of hours and required all possible hands.
  • Scheduling complications of a large group: Due to inevitable schedule conflicts of seven individuals, group members  had to be prepared to work with other available team members on whatever task was most pressing
  • Dynamic input/feedback from in-house technology staff: Because workflow configuration at the lab depended on changeable input from Art and Don, team members needed to be prepared to adapt.

Task Schedule

Members of the team were present at LC, pursuant to project needs and to the schedules of LC staff (who needed to be present).  Main hours of work were Monday AM, Tuesday AM, Friday PM, Saturday, and Sunday (see schedule provided in appendix).
