Organization’s Priorities for Implementation of Technology

Given the aforementioned vision, mission and goals, the priorities of the computer lab center around the concern for developing educational and technical skills. Priorities include:

1. Creating a network layout that makes the most efficient use of the space available

2. Installing software programs that support his goals
o Educational programs such as the specifically mentioned GED software
o Focus on providing entertaining games of educational value
o Bible Programs

Resources Organization Can Provide for Technology Implementation

Pastor Malone is preparing the physical spaces necessary for a viable network. His organization possesses ample space (16 x 8’7”) to connect eight computers for educational purposes in a laboratory environment with two computers in an adjacent room for administrative purposes.

Regarding currently available hardware, Pastor Malone has provided a printer that will serve as the network printer. He also owns a laptop running Windows 98 that potentially may also be connected to the network.

Resources GSLIS Will Need to Provide

GSLIS will be providing the ten computers and peripherals, the operating system, the cables, and the switch necessary to create the network. GSLIS will also be enabling each computer with the settings that most closely meet Greater Glory’s needs.
