Resources Available to Implement Technology at the Organization
Volunteer Joseph Askew is knowledgeable and enthusiastic and has helped with the library’s technology for many years. Valerie provides security through direct observation of the facility.
Resources Organization Can Provide for Technology Implementation
15 XP licenses, Windows XP installation CDs from 2003. 17 PCs with peripherals. Four of the computers, donated by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, are relatively up to date and have locks on the storage media. The remaining computers vary considerably in capabilities and state of repair. About five computers were provided by the Lewis & Clark Library System and about seven were provided by Prairienet.
Resources GSLIS Will Need to Provide
RAM upgrades including RDRAM, hard drives which will be added to certain machines, Linux OSs and software, extra keyboards and mice, case faces to replace missing power buttons, training materials, compressed air cans.
