Pastor's Corner
Ezekiel 34:11-12     For thus says the Lord God: I myself will search for my
sheep, and will seek them out. As shepherds seek out their flocks when
they are among their scattered sheep, so I will seek out my sheep. I will
rescue them from all the places to which they have been scattered on a day
of clouds and thick darkness.
Thank you, God. On my running shoes I wear a little velcro tag that says
my name and has 2 emergency contact numbers, just in case something
happens to me and I can’t speak for myself. When I put on my shoes it is
a humbling reminder of that possibility. I value this little velcro tag
so much because if I am lost, confused, injured; I will be known and I
will be safely in touch with my loved ones. I imagine having this little
tag emblazoned on the top of my head, where I was sealed with the sign of
the cross, and claimed as God’s beloved daughter. Thank you, God. I
trust in this "little" covenant of love so much that rests upon me. If
and when I am lost, confused, or injured, God will find me and will keep
me safe in that sweet embrace of grace.
Peace on your head,
Pastor Rachel
