Storage:
Store whole broccoli in your refrigerator crisper sans plastic bag.

Preparation:
Using a knife or vegetable peeler, remove tougher skin from lower portion of stalk. Cut branches off stalk to make florets. Stalk can be cut into coins and cooked with florets, or on its own in stir-frys.

Recipes:

Broccoli with Dill

1 bunch broccoli
2 T butter or margarine
2 T choped fresh dill or other herb of your choice
1 T fresh lemon juice

Cut broccoli into stalks or florets. Steam until tender and bright green, about 6 minutes. Heat butter, dill, and lemon juice in a small sauce pan on the stove or in a bowl in a microwave. Pour butter mixture over broccoli and serve. Serves 2-4.
