About Us
Paseo Boricua
Paseo Boricua is the area along Division Street in Chicago, Illinois that is marked by two steel sculptures of the Puerto Rican flag. The sculptures are the world's largest Puerto Rican flags. They soar over the streets at Western and California.
It's a place where people can learn about Puerto Rican history, culture and politics through the Puerto Rican Cultural Center and where the Pedro Albizu Campos High School provides an alternative school setting to help young people succeed. Puerto Rican restaurants and night life have developed along with commerce.
The Paseo Boricua Community Library (PBCL) is a participatory action research project representing a collaboration among teachers, students, researchers and local volunteers. The project began in January 2003. Read more.
