According
to their website, “the Corporation for Enterprise Development (CFED) fosters
widely shared and sustainable economic well-being. CFED promotes asset-building
and economic opportunity strategies, primarily in low-income and distressed
communities, that bring together community practice, public policy, and private
markets in new and effective ways.” A good place to learn about other asset-building
initiatives across the country.
Assets for Independence (AFI)
Assets for Independence (AFI) is a Federal grant program that
enables community-based nonprofits and State, local and Tribal government agencies to implement and demonstrate an asset-based
approach for giving low-income families help out of poverty.

Center for Social Development
According
to their website, “the purpose of CSD is to chart new directions and study
innovations in the domestic arena, particularly where such innovations are
likely to have the greatest impact on public policy and private action. The
domestic arena includes areas that are typically thought of as "social
welfare" and "economic development" as well as broader aspects

State Asset Development Report Card
According
to their website, the
State Asset Development Report Card(SADRC) is a groundbreaking tool that
captures the most up-to-date data available on asset distribution and policy
for each of the 50 states. The Report Card provides rich new data that has
