Valerie McWilliams President A graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law in 1982, McWilliams also taught for two years before taking a position at Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation for the past 22 years as staff attorney. Since 1991 Val has been the Directing Attorney of the Champaign office and specializes in welfare law. Currently, she's focused on community economic development work, which has let to a number of community-based projects designed to create opportunities for low-income working families. Cyndi Geerdes Secretary Geerdes received her law degree from the New York University School of Law in 1987. In 1997, Geerdes founded the Transactions Clinic at the University of Illinois College of Law, where she currently teaches and supervises students in transactional law with a focus on local economic justice issues. Geerdes is also an active member of the community and has served as a director of the PAID Program since its inception.

Sheila Dodd Treasurer Sheila is the Grant Compliance Coordinator at the City of Champaign. She has worked for the city for 15 years, working mainly with the CDBG and HOME funds along with any private grants the city receives . Sheila is responsible for ensuring that the city follows the individual grant requirements. She is also a housing counselor and provides pre- and post-purchase homebuyer counseling to persons who participate in the city's housing programs. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business from Eastern Illinois University.

Jessie Connell Project Manager Jessie is from Kansas and attended Kansas State University where she graduated in May 2007. She is currently serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer with the Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation in Champaign, Illinois, working exclusively with the PAID program.
