Research on the impact of the makeover at the Mary E. Brown Center was conducted by Adam Kehoe and Martin Wolske.  The case example text was written by Martin Wolske, Deven Gibbs, Adam Kehoe, and Sharon Irish.

We would like to recognize Vera Jones, Janine Villard, Terri Scott, and the rest of the staff at the Mary E. Brown Center.  Their creative participation in the redesign of the computer lab at the center was key to achieving such positive results.

This research supported in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services Youth Community Informatics grant (Chip Bruce, PI, and Ann Bishop co-PI); by NSF iCUBED: Informatics and Computation throughout Undergraduate Baccalaureate Education; the Illinois Informatics Institute; and by the State of Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (Christopher Coleman, project coordinator).
