[13/20] Paseo Montejo, a major tree lined boulevard in Merida, has some of the most impressive buildings from the city's 19th century past. This one is Palacio Canton, a former home of one of Yucatan's early governors. It now serves as a museum for the National Museum for Anthropology and History and displays a large collection of archeological relics from regional ruins.
