Intercambio invites you to make a difference

Intercambio has for several years included a medical/dental component on our winter trips. Often it is the only chance for some professionals or students to experience a third-world medical environment. Past trips have served as many as 3000 patients medically, and 500 dental patients in a seven day period.

Intercambio is currently working with the School of Nursing and Health Studies at Georgetown University and the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University to provide students with "hands on" third world medical experience. Health education classes teach villagers important lessons that will have long-lasting benefit.
