Meso-American Archives - Extensive coverage of Mayan Archeological Sites by David Hixson, doctoral student in Anthropology at Tulane University, and a former participant on a number of Intercambio trips. In addition to original photos and commentary on key Mayan ruins, this website also features a large listing of other photo-oriented web sites about the Maya.

Yucatan Peninsula and the Maya World - personal web site of Denis Mudderman, doctoral student in Geography at Indiana State, and another former Intercambio participant on a number of winter trips. Site includes photos of several winter trip projects.

MesoWeb - Extensive, very high quality site from the Pre-Columbian Art Research Institute. Mesoweb is devoted to ancient Mesoamerica and its cultures: the Olmec, Maya, Teotihuacano, Zapotec, Mixtec, Toltec, Aztec and others. Lots of information on selected Mayan ruins.

CMC - Mystery of the Maya - Created by the Canadian Museum of Civilization in cooperation with Mexican cultural experts from INAH (National Institute of Anthroplogy and History).  History of the ancient Maya, language, customs, mathmatics, architecture, plus interactive version of Maya exhibit which the museum hosted on site in 1995.

Foundation for the Advancement of Mesoamerican Studies, Inc. - Scholarly research site, includes extensive collection of line drawings of ancient Mayan imagery by Linda Schele and John Montgomery; plus "roll-out" photographs of imagery on ceramic vases by Justin Kerr.

Maps of Mexico - Interactive maps of Mexico -- includes some 360 degree views of selected tourist sites, weather information, etc. Heavy use of javascript; seems to work best in Internet Explorer. Direct links to: Yucatan, Quintana Roo, and Campeche state maps (very detailed).
