E-Mail Lists

On the internet, there are many topic-specific e-mail lists. Listed below is information on email-lists and discussion boards that are devoted to the restoration and ecology of native prairie. These lists provide an excellent way for prairie enthusiasts to share information.

EcoStewards E-Mail List

Ecostewards is a new e-mail list devoted to preservation and restoration of prairies and woodlands in East-Central Illinois. It is to be used to facilitate communication among local environmental groups, provide a forum for announcements of upcoming meetings and workdays, and allow discussions of topics interest here in East-Central Illinois. Ecostewards is made possible by the community website Prairienet at http://www.prairienet.org.

Mallorn Prairie E-Mail List

This list is sponsored by the horticultural website Mallorn Computing. The list is devoted to prairie plants, restorations, and ecology, with subscribers living throughout the Midwest prairie region ranging from Texas to Minnesota. The Mallorn website contains a message archive at http://www.hort.net/lists/prairie/.
