The Successor Guardianship Program as defined in Rule/Procedures 302.400, as of December 31, 1996, is no longer available. Children who were accepted into the program prior to December 31, 1996, may remain in this program until such time as the successor guardianship arrangement is terminated.

Instructions: Ongoing monthly "board subsidy", following transfer of guardianship. These payments are to be discontinued at age 18 unless the child has a severe emotional disturbance, a physical disability, a social adjustment problem, or the child needs to complete an educational or vocational training program. Eligibility for subsidy must be re-determined every year prior to the anniversary date of the subsidy in order for payment to continue.

Instructions: Payment may also be made if the transfer is not completed but an agreement had been entered into in advance for payment of legal fees. Purchase Authorizations submitted for payment should include the date of the transfer of guardianship.
