The CPSW will give and/or forward all documentation to the permanency worker prior to or at the shelter care hearing. Court cases are to be completed and submitted for supervisory approval within 48 hours (2 business days) of the shelter care hearing. Any documentation received subsequent to the shelter care hearing shall be placed into the completed file and a copy forwarded to the permanency worker.
Waivers to completion of any court case within the specified timeframe can be granted by the immediate supervisor. Detailed documentation of the request and the approval on a CHILD ABUSE/NEGLECT INTERVIEW NOTES (CANTS 17-A) is required.
