A Woman's Place (AWP) is a domestic violence shelter offering a hotline, counseling and support services. AWP provides a directory of other DV shelters in Illinois. AWP staff can help you to file orders of protection.

St. Jude Catholic Worker House

Catholic Worker House (CWH) provides a Soup Kitchen open daily 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. CWH closes from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. They also offer shelter for men, women and children for up to 6 weeks, CWH is closed during the month of August each year.

Champaign House

Champaign House is for H1V+ men, women and children. Individuals interested in staying at the Champaign House shelter must have a referral. Agencies that refer include, Carle Hospital, Prairie Center, Provena Covenant Mental Health Center, or Champaign/Urbana Public Health. Tues. - Fri, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Crisis Nursery

Crisis Nursery provides food, clothing, and safe, confidential care for children from birth to 5 years old when space is available. Can use Crisis Nursery if going to job interviews, AA/NA meetings, a funeral, or any crisis. Services available 24 hours daily.

Men's Safe House

Men's SAFE House is a Christian based program for men in recovery from substance abuse. Walk-ins welcome. Must commit to the 12 month program, 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Respite Center

Respite is for adults experiencing psychiatric emergencies that do not require immediate hospitalization. Applicants must complete an assessment through the mental health center. A referral can be obtained from the Crisis Team at 359-4141.

Restoration Urban Ministries

RUM is a Christian based program that offers clothing, food pantry access, adult and youth programs, drug recovery programs and shelter for families or individuals. Mon. - Fri. 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Roundhouse

Roundhouse serves adolescents ages 12-17 years old. They evaluate shelter on a daily basis. They also offer individual and family counseling with focuses on reunification. 24 hour intake.

Salvation Army Social Services

This is a shelter and dinner program for men only. If they are needing shelter, men must come in at 8 p.m. Dinner is served at 6 p.m. Men must leave the shelter by 7 a.m. the next day to work or look for work.

Transitional Initiatives and Men's Emergency Services (TIMES)    Center

24 hour facility. Breakfast 7 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. Lunch 12 noon - 12:30 p.m. Dinner 6 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Breakfast is for residents only.

TIMES offers restricted services for homeless women and their children. Women and children are welcome from noon to 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The overnight shelter is open to homeless men over age 18. The check-in time for Overnight stays is 8 p.m. First-time residents may check in anytime of day.
