The soup kitchen is open from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., seven days a week. Anyone is welcome to eat with us. We serve a main meal and on every day except Tuesday offer sack lunches to those who may need supper or have to return to work before sitting down at our meal. Food is provided by local grocery stores, restaurants, and private donations and the meals are cooked with love by our volunteers. We need volunteers to help prepare meals, serve meals, and clean up.

We have three live-in volunteers and would welcome others who seek to build an intentional community dedicated to the philosophy of the Catholic Worker Movement. Champaign is a pleasant university town. Live-in volunteers can work part-time or attend classes.
