Participation in all study group activities is open to the entire
membership. The study group concept permits in-depth exploration of more
narrowly focused fiber related subjects. Study group topics are suggested
by the members, and their interests determine the offerings from year to
year. The meeting time and place of each group changes yearly.
Wild and Wonderful Weavers
Weavers of all levels of expertise are welcome to join the Weaving Study group.
It meets in the evenings on the third Tuesday of each a month at a guild member's house. Note, however,
the November meeting will be on the 28th due to Thanksgiving.
The Loosely Knit Group
Knitters of all levels are invited to join the Loosely Knit Study group.
We have two different meeting times to accommodate everyone's schedules.
Both the day and night group have the same programs, and both meet at at the
Urbana Free Library.
The day knitters meet the first Wednesday each month from 1 to 3 PM,
and the night knitters meet the fourth Monday of each month from 6:45 to 8:45 pm.
Spinning Study Groups
There are two study groups for spinners.
One meets on the third Friday each month from 1 to 3 at
Needleworks to focus on beginning spinners.
The other meets on the second Saturday of each month from 9:30 to 11:30 in members' homes.
The topics and locations of the Saturday spinning group meetings are announced in the newsletter each month.
Spinners of all levels of expertise are welcome at both meetings.
Happy Hookers Study Group
The Happy Hookers rug hooking study group is meeting on the third Tuesday of each month from 10am to 11am.
Meetings are held in the home of one of our happy hookers, as announced in the monthly newsletter.
