Membership in the CU Spinners and Weavers Guild is open to anyone interested in any of the fiber arts. Dues are $20.00 per
year. The fiscal year runs from May 1 through April 30. New members who join after December 31 pay one-half of the membership dues ($10.00).

§ Equipment Rentals
The guild maintains a variety of equipment for use at
workshops and for the instruction of new weavers and spinners. Monthly
rental for all looms, spinning wheels and drum carders is $10, with a
refundable $25.00 deposit payable at the beginning of the loan

§ Lois Sanders Library
The Lois Sanders Library is housed in two metal cabinets on the upper level of
Needleworks, 24 E. Green Street in Champaign.
Books may be checked out and returned anytime Needleworks is open. Books may be checked out
for one month and may be renewed. Members may sign for the keys to the cabinets at the desk at
Needleworks to use the library. The holdings include books and magazines and videotapes on
weaving, spinning, dyeing and other related topics.
§ Publications
The Guild publishes a monthly newsletter and a yearbook that
includes all programs, study groups and a membership listing.
§ Grants
The guild offers a grant each year to assist a member in
attending a fiber conference or workshop. All members are eligible and
are encouraged to apply to the scholarship committee for this assistance.

§ Annual Guild Sale
Guild activities include the Annual Guild Sale of members'
work each fall. Past sales have included examples of weaving, basketry,
soft sculpture, quilting, handspun yarns, natural dyes, jewelry, stenciled
fabric items, appliqué, tatting, and stitchery. We have more information on the annual
