Middle school principals Dr. Susan Zola, Dr. Carol Stack, and Dr. Steve Lucas along with enrichment specialist, Kristin Camp, and an AVID teacher will be there to discuss how the changes in curriculum and programs have gone this year. Other Agenda Items: Presentation of slate of officers for 2005-2006 school year Discussion of Unit 4 budget reductions Informational Items: District Budget Meeting: The Unit 4 Board of Education will discuss and vote on the budget for next year on Wednesday, March 30 at 6 p.m. at the Mellon Building. School Board Candidate Forum: PTA Council will host a school board candidate forum on Thursday, March 31 from 7-9 p.m. at the Mellon Building. The six school board candidates have been invited to come to answer questions from the audience and discuss their views on several district issues. Please plan to attend. School Board elections are on April 5. The forum will be rebroadcast on Cable Channel 5 on: Please let your other PTA members know this information via your email list, if possible. State PTA Convention: Presidents should have received information in your mid-year packet about the convention to be held April 29-May 1, 2005 at the Hilton Hotel in Lisle. You can also look at the Illinois PTA website www.illinoispta.org for information. Next PTA Council meeting: The May meeting of PTA Council will be held on Thursday, May 5 at Barkstall School.
