Technology, will be discussing the districts website, especially
information on it for parents and information accessible about
curriculum.

- Sharing of Ideas - Please plan
to discuss ideas for programs and activities that have
worked well for your PTA
or school this year.
Informational Items:
State PTA Convention - The
annual Illinois PTA state convention will be held April 29 - May 1
in Lisle. There will be various workshops, exhibits, and sessions
on bylaws, budgets, etc. Please encourage your members to attend.
Your PTA budget may include funds to pay the registration fee for
delegates to attend from your PTA. It is a great way to learn more
about PTA!
State PTA Registration Forms -
Please fill in and return the registration sheet from the Illinois
PTA that presidents should be receiving shortly from the state PTA
office. You need to fill this in even if the officers are not
changing. If you have not voted yet, please fill in the information
as soon as possible after your elections and send it back to the
state office.
PTA Council Handbook - Also we
will need the names of your new officers, council rep, Reflections
chair, Family Involvement chair, Newsletter editor, and webmaster
from each PTA to be included in our council handbook for next year.
Please email this information to Katie Rocheford ( send2katie@insightbb.com
) as soon as you have those positions filled. There will also be
sheets available at the May 5 meeting for reps to give to their
schools PTA president to fill in and return to Katie. Please send
this information before Sept. 1 so that we can compile the handbook
by Oct. 1. Thank you to Katie for agreeing to do the handbook for
this coming school year.
Audit Committee - Remember to
review your PTA bylaws to see procedures for forming an audit
committee and auditing your financial records at the end of your
fiscal year, usually June 30 or July 31.
