2008 Miss Champaign County Fair Queen Pageant

Dear Contestant:

I want to thank you for your interest in the Miss Champaign County Fair Queen Pageant. I have listed a few tips you may want to consider while you are preparing for the pageant.

SHOPPING TIPS: (Borrow If You Can!) but if not, purchase the following:

  1. Floor length evening gown - no openings in bodice of evening gown and no high slits in back or side.
  2. Swimsuit - solid in color, one piece-avoid low cut or high cut at the hips.
  3. A suit or nice dress for your speech and interview - can be the same or two different outfits - preferably a solid color. Please no short skirts - middle of knee works better in interview.
  4. Heels - 2" to 2.5" TAUPE ONLY (can be higher if you are comfortable) Heels are worn with swimsuit competition, with interview and speech suit. (check on these early - Shoe Carnival Store has been the most reasonable and they have them in stock) must go early because other pageants are also going on. J.C. Penney, Payless, Bergners etc.
