| The Kodak Anastar 80mm lens on the Kodak Reflex is an unusual design that piqued the interest of Rick Oleson, who asked if I knew anything about it. I hadn't gotten that far with my cataloging of Kodak cameras, but after compiling my standard lens description page, I could not identify its type. A review of Kingslake's A History of the Photographic Lens suggests that it is a modified triplet first developed as the Ernostar, later to become the Sonnar. The Ernostar was used on the Ermanox that was used by Erich Salomon. | |||
