We live in a diverse universe, one with many sizes, shapes and spectra of astronomical objects. From a measly planet to a supergiant star, to a galaxy, and clusters of galaxies. From spherical to spheroidal to jetlike and stringy. Through all wavebands of the entire electromagnetic spectrum. The exact extent of the universe is unknown, but it's big, that's for sure. It appears that the universe is open -- that is it will expand forever, never to collapse back on itself. It is probably at least 12 billion years old. We know more about it than ever before, but there are still some big unanswered questions. One of these is whether we are alone, or does other life exist somewhere out there in the vastness? This and many other issues are being investigated by astronomers right now. So stay tuned to your computer, and follow the links to astronomy, space science, images and more. As always, I, George Krumins, appreciate your feedback. So if you enjoy this area (or not) email the Astrolink Information Provider 'Astrolink to the Astroprairie'. Thank you for your attention, and now back to our regularly scheduled program...
