For a number of years myself, George Krumins, and my friend Charles Guy have been working a play called the Big Boys Squirm. It has three acts. First comes the Big Bang. Second the Steady State. And finally, the Big Crunch. These are three competing models of the Universe. The Universe is probably expanding forever, so in reality the Big Crunch will never happen. But in the play the wheelchair loaf introduced in the second act has an analogue in the third act with the Big Crunch(TM) candy bar. The wheelchair loaf gave Hawking (one of the Big Boys of cosmology) the power to stand and speak in his own voice. In the third act the candybar gives him the power to fly. But there are dire consequences...
