MENNONITE RELIEF SALE

 
The Remaining 20%

Again, the amount given to MCC represents 80% of the total net income.  The remaining 20% of the income remains in the community and is distributed to the following places:

  • 45% of the remaining 20% is equally divided among six (6) local Mennonite churches:

  • Arthur Mennonite Church (Arthur)
  • First Mennonite Church (Champaign)
  • North Vine Mennonite Church (Arthur)
  • Sunnyside Mennonite Church (Chesterville)
  • Pleasant View Mennonite Church (Arcola)
  • Trinity Christian Fellowship (Arthur)
  • 37.5% of the remaining 20% is given to the local Amish churches.

  • 7.5% of the remaining 20% is given to the Arthur Ministerial Association.

  • 10% of the remaining 20% stays in a Relief Sale outreach fund which has been used in some of the following ways:

    • To assist victims in a local fire.

    • To purchase a wheel chair accessible van for Daniel Helmuth (son of George and Lorene Helmuth) who is wheelchair bound.

    • To assist with bills for Tory Kuhns (daughter of Paul and Sarah Kuhns) who has struggled with kidney problems.
